| FEATURING: Wellington Pottery and Mosaic |

|
Wellington Pottery and Mosaic is a full-time production pottery studio. David Drown and Maggie Murdoch produce mosaic, functional, garden and art pottery and formulate their own glazes at their charming studio in Wellington, Ontario. “We each bring our creativity and influence to the work. I am the main potter, mosaic artis , and teacher. David is potter, technician and business manager”.
The inspiration comes from many sources, and the organic shapes and freeform styles speak for themselves --not necessarily for a specific purpose but for their own sake.
Eastern Pottery
The clean lines and geometric shapes in this line compliment the oriental brush strokes to give it a distinctive eastern style. All pieces are available in 3 glaze colours, rattan, chartreuse and apple green, which all work great together for a mix and match look. The complete functionality of this line makes it a joy to use.
Mosaic Pottery
These charming pottery pieces are individually hand made in porcelain clay, with an eye for quality. The shards in the Mosaic Pottery are recycled vintage china and you will find they take you on a nostalgic journey as you recognize patterns from by gone years. Each of these pieces have an inset area in which the china shards are inlaid, the grout is specially coloured to match or accent the glaze colour of the pot. Recommended for Dry Service.
Botanical Pottery
"Tender Shoots" are inspired by organic forms found in nature; these pieces grow in strange and wonderful ways, as does the early spring garden, representing a new start. They are sculptural forms, fanciful and colourful, between 12 to 15 " tall.
