In two week-long Art Camps, children discover art forms and techniques of Africa, through hands-on art-making and gallery exploration. Using AGH exhibitions as a starting point, children develop observation and insight into the works of African artists from the past and from today. Traditional and contemporary art-making strategies combine to provide a rich and diverse experience of the world through art. Each week will focus on different art forms and ideas, so campers can enjoy one week or two, full of fresh and engaging activities each day.
Summer Camp - The Art of Africa
Week One: July 19 to 23 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
Week Two: July 26 to 30 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
AGH Members pricing: 1 week - $150 | 2 weeks - $275
Non-Members pricing: 1 week $175 | 2 weeks - $325
JUNIOR - ages 5 to 9 years.
INTERMEDIATE – ages 8 to 9 years.
SENIOR - ages 10 and up.
Extended Care: After camp care available 4:00 to 5:30 pm for $5.00 per day.
