Art @ Lunch

On the first Wednesday of each month, this intimate tour series focuses on select exhibitions and features AGH docents or curators sharing their expertise and research. The talks are free - Gallery Level One admission applies to Non-Members (when applicable). Pre-registration is not required. After a 40-minute talk, there will be time for questions or the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the Café at AGH.

Tour Days
Tour Day is an excellent opportunity to enhance your Gallery visit. Learn more about the fascinating works of art on display from our skilled Docents. Tours last approximately 40 minutes.
Day & Time Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 pm and holiday Mondays (Victoria Day, May 20 l Canada Day, July 1 l Civic Holiday, August 5 l Labour Day, September 2).
Please arrive five minutes early to purchase admission and/or receive your entry sticker from AGH Visitor Services.

Family Visits
Pick up a Discovery Kit and a Family Activity Book at Visitor Services (free with admission). Discovery Kits contain a number of objects that children can touch during their Gallery visit, as well as some 'thinking questions' for you to discuss together. Activity Books encourage thinking, drawing and imagining as children complete the pages of their own booklets.

Tea & Tours
On the third Wednesday of the month, join AGH Librarian and Docent Helen Hadden for a tour of selected exhibitions, followed by tea and discussion in the Café at AGH.
Please note: In the event that Tea & Tours focuses on Gallery Level ONE exhibitions, ticketed admission will apply to Non-Members.

AGH Accessibility
Experience art through the sense of touch. Visitors will explore selected works on display with a Docent trained in verbal description.

Tactile (Touch) Tours
Groups may also book tactile tours Tuesdays through Saturdays at your convenience. Please call at least 7 days in advance. Regular Gallery admission applies; free admission to AGH Members. Support persons are welcomed at no cost.

Visiting the AGH on your own? Check out an Audio Guide and learn more about the artists and works on display in selected exhibitions. Note: You will be asked to leave a piece of identification at AGH Visitor Services when you sign out your Audio Guide.

Audio guides, large print materials and Discovery Kits (for kids) that contain tactile materials are also available on request at AGH Visitor Services. These programmes are made possible by the Province of Ontario, thanks to support from Celebrate Ontario.

The AGH offers reduced rates to groups of 10 people or more, as well as providing the option for a captivating docent-led tour. We also give the option to enjoy a delicious meal from our Café or catering from Hospitality Services (pre-arranged).

Corporate Workshops
Need to Boost Creative Thinking? Encourage Team Building?
Let us show you how art can encourage innovative thinking for progressive leadership and team building. AGH Corporate Workshops will engage employee groups in creative thinking with unique activities. Art on view at the AGH is utilized to spark discussion about various strategies for professional success. Perception and interpretation of art and images are explored and linked to innovative workplace thinking.
Morning or afternoon sessions can be booked from Tuesday to Friday. The programme can be complemented by lunch, catered by our Event Services.

Destination AGH

Calling all Day Care Centres, Girl Guides, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts! Destination AGH offers groups of 15 to 60 children the chance to see fabulous international artwork and create masterpieces of their own.
This interactive 90 minute programme is available evenings throughout the year, 6:30 to 8:00 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Destination AGH fees: $7.00 per child for groups of 16-30
