Tour Days

Enjoy a guided tour by one of our specially trained Docents. No reservations are necessary for groups individuals and groups smaller than 10. Meet at the Visitor Services Desk. For Tours last approximately 40 minutes.

Every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday & Statutory Holiday at 1pm

Family Day, February 20 | Good Friday, April 14
AGH Members: Free | Non-Members: Free with AGH admission

Please arrive five minutes early to purchase admission and/or receive your entry sticker from AGH Visitor Services. NOTE: thre AGH is closed December 25, 26 and January 1, 2017.

Friday Free Night Tours

Tours and Gallery admission is FREE for everyone on the first Friday of every month!

Free Night tours will take on a more casual, conversational approach, and will add some interesting facts and stories to your exhibition experience.

Private Group Tours

The AGH offers reduced rates to groups of 10 people or more. Led by our expert Docents, guided tours offer an engaging and insightful look at AGH exhibitions.

Corporate Workshops

Need to Boost Creative Thinking? Encourage Team Building?

Let us show you how art can encourage innovative thinking for progressive leadership and team building. AGH Corporate Workshops will engage employee groups in creative thinking with unique activities. Art on view at the AGH is utilized to spark discussion about various strategies for professional success. Perception and interpretation of art and images are explored and linked to innovative workplace thinking.

Morning or afternoon sessions can be booked from Tuesday to Friday. The program can be complemented by lunch, catered by our Event Services.

Destination AGH

Photo: Mike Lalich Calling all Day Care Centres, Girl Guides, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts! Destination AGH offers groups of 15 to 60 children the chance to see fabulous Canadian and international works of art and to create masterpieces of their own.

This interactive 90 minute program is available evenings throughout the year, 6:30 - 8pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.


Destination AGH fees: $7.00 per child for groups of 16-30

Touch Tours

Experience art through the sense of touch. Visitors work with specially trained Docents to explore selected works. These tours are designed with people with vision loss in mind, but everyone is welcome.

FM Devices for Visitors with Hearing Loss

For all Tours, Talks and Studios, FM amplification devices are available to support visitors with special needs. When possible, please reserve in advance. Note: You will be asked to leave a piece of identification at AGH Visitor Services when you sign out your FM device.

Exhibition Audio Guides

You can enjoy a guided tour at any time with an AGH Audio Guide! Learn about the artists and works on display in selected exhibitions. Note: Please be prepared to leave identification at the Visitor Services Desk when you sign out your Audio Guide.
