Brianna Gluszak is a sculptor and glass-maker from Calgary, Alberta. She has worked and studied internationally including at The Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, The Corning Museum of Glass, in New York and Northlands Creative Glass in Lybster, Scotland. In 2016, she received her Bachelors in Fine Art from The Alberta College of Art and Design.
Craftsmanship is at the core of her projects, often focusing on the materiality of glass. Her newest body of work personifies human relationships through the interaction of two sculptural objects. She states:
“Looking and observing the world around me is a fundamental principle of my artist endeavors. Focusing on the intricacies of everyday life, relationships and how visual information presents itself. This act of looking in combination with observational drawing have become an act of design within my practice.”
Gluszak has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally. She is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
