J. Joel approaches his fine art practice as a way of life. He fluidly moves between painting and drawing media, which have maintained as steadfast forms of creative expression his entire life.

J. Joel was born and raised in England, before immigrating to Canada in 1965. His work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions and is held in numerous private and corporate art collections including Jack Diamond Architect, Seagram’s, Elk’s Stores, The Catholic Trainers Assoc., The Canadian Red Cross, The Ontario Trucking Association, as well as the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum public collection in Shanghai, China.
Joel currently lives and works in Hamilton, ON
