Patricia Taylor was born in Chile and came to Canada when she was seven years old. Her artistic path began when she started painting as a teenager, and has only recently returned to painting again now in later years.
Taylor’s painting practice has been shaped by her experiences in the increasingly chaotic, and more incomprehensible world around her. Created as a respite from this external chaos, Taylor’s minimalist, abstract landscapes invite viewers to step into a serene world with her. Her application of oils and acrylics are completed using a wide variety of tools including brushes, palette knives, and her own hands; a process which she considers a great joy.
Patricia Taylor’s work has shown at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Toronto; The Annual Show and Sale at the McMichael Gallery, Kleinburg; The Rosedale Art Fair, Toronto; Riverdale Art Walk, Toronto; and Leslie Grove Gallery in Toronto among others.
