This timely and inspirational documentary chronicles legendary writer and urban activist Jane Jacobs’ battle to save historic NYC neighbourhoods from the draconian redevelopment plans of ruthless power broker Robert Moses in the 1960s.
The screening will be followed by a discussion panel moderated by Hamilton Community Foundation President & CEO, Terry Cooke. Guest panelists include Fred Eisenberger (Mayor, City of Hamilton), Mary W. Rowe (Deputy Principal Secretary, Office of the Premier of Ontario), and Mary Lou Tanner (Chief Planner, City of Burlington).
