“Why do two colours, put one next to the other, sing?” – Picasso
Let’s find out!
Learn the basic principles of colour theory through weekly colour mixing experiments and acrylic painting exercises. Participants will first learn how to mix specific hues from the primary colours. They will then explore how to use dark and light values effectively; how to create interesting contrasts; and how to make harmonious colour schemes. Weekly visits into the Gallery spaces and through the AGH catalogues will provide close-up examples of how artists from different art movements use colour.
No painting experience required. Suitable for all experience levels.
