AGH Reads is a monthly book club dedicated to topics intersecting with art, artists, and broader cultural topics.
This month we read In Montparnasse: The Emergence of Surrealism in Paris, From Duchamp to Dali by Sue Roe. Spanning the years between the first and second World Wars, author Sue Roe charts the emergence of the European surrealist movement, and the many challenges it made to how art is defined and made, with attention to Duchamp, Man Ray, Cocteau, and of course Dali. Free admission.
