Ivan Prykhodko is one of the last folk artists in Ukraine. This film showcases the humble and rural circumstances in which is art is made, as well as the tricky process by which such art gets presented at a public gallery. AGH Curator Melissa Bennett will provide an introduction to this film, exploring its thematic connection with the work of the late Poppa Wilson, who worked for decades producing folk art in the Niagara region, and whose work will is currently on view.
