How to Unwrap the Holidays (a kitchen table talk)
Join us for the next in a series of public forums led by an amazing group of truth tellers and allies from this region. This month’s event will focus on the impact settler holidays have on indigenous celebration and ceremony.
Speakers include Meegaazhaqua (Sara George–Anishinabe Qua), NaWalka Geeshy Meegwun (Lyndon George — Anishnaabe Ojokwe), Sheri Gilmour, Felicia General, Selby Harris, and Holly Doxtator. This discussion will take the form of a ‘kitchen table’ conversation, echoing the conversations indigenous people have had around our kitchen tables for many years prior to the calls to action being presented.
Join us in person for an AGH Tour at 6 pm, followed by the talk at 7 pm.
