Artful Moments is a specially-designed program to support the interests and abilities of persons with dementia who are living in the community, in the early- to middle-stages of dementia. We invite participants, together with their care partners (if they wish) to take part in the virtual version of our popular program, presented using Zoom. Share in conversations about art and explore art-making activities that support all forms of communication and levels of ability in a fun and social setting. Our specially-trained educators provide positive and engaging interactions, encouraging everyone to participate in their own way.
Participants are encouraged to include a family-member or care partner to share in the program – one support person is welcomed at no extra charge, and can attend from the participant’s home or from their own homes We will include invitations to both party’s email addresses. We envision a program where participants and their care partners share the experience together. Partners are encouraged to participate in discussions and hands-on activities along side participants. This program is for both of you.
An art kit with a variety of materials will support this program. Participants or their care partners will need to pick up the kit at the AGH, or make arrangements to have it mailed (at the participant’s expense).
AGH Members: $55
General: $65
Additional art kit for care partner: $25
