Join staff and volunteers from Royal Botanical Gardens and the Hamilton Naturalist’s Club as they explore the amazing nature of Cootes Paradise and our city.
Cootes Paradise is recognized nationally as an IMPARA (Important Area for Reptiles and Amphibians). Our reptile list includes six turtle species: five of these are native species that are in decline, while the sixth is a problem – an invasive introduction from the southern US. Join an RBG naturalist, and explore the world of turtles with the help of two hard-shelled friends.
