AGH Exhibition Submissions Process

The curator of contemporary art and the Exhibition Committee review submissions on an ongoing basis. Every effort is made to inform the artist of our decision within three months of the submission. Please note that our programming schedule is carefully planned to reflect and integrate all three areas of focus of our collection (historical Canadian, historical European and contemporary), and that the Gallery plans exhibitions at least two years in advance.

All submissions will be treated with care, however the Art Gallery of Hamilton assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to submission material. Thank you for your interest in the AGH.

AGH Submission Guidelines

Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis, and should include the following:
  • current Curriculum Vitae

  • up to 10 good quality images of recent work (slides or digital images are acceptable), with accompanying image list detailing artist’s name, titles, dates, medium and dimensions of each work

  • a brief description of the proposed exhibition

  • any additional relevant material such as publications and critical reviews

  • a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your material returned
Please send submissions to the attention of:
