AGH exhibitions are generally by invitation only, and are planned 3-4 years in advance. The curatorial team does accept and review artist and curator submissions on an ongoing basis, however only successful applicants will receive a response (typically within six months), due to the large volume received.
Ontario Arts Council Exhibition Assistance Grants
The Art Gallery of Hamilton is a third party recommender for Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Exhibition Assistance Grants. There are limited funds available and eligible applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis after the competition opens each year in June. *The AGH has already received a full amount of applications for the 2016-17, and has fully recommended the allotted funds for the current cycle. The competition will open again in June 2017.
Jean and Ross Fischer Gallery Submissions
The Art Gallery of Hamilton seeks to engage local audiences with visual art, architecture, design, historical artefacts, archival materials, and ideas relevant to the Hamilton community's past, present, and future. The AGH is calling on artists and arts groups to submit applications for future exhibitions in the Jean and Ross Fischer Gallery.
