Try your hand at carving soapstone with local artist Dan Hill in this six-week studio course!
Learn about stone carving traditions among Indigenous artists from both the South (Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee) and the North (Inuit), and work towards completing a project that expresses aspects of your own culture with gentle guidance from Dan Hill. Safe handling of materials will be discussed, and a dust mask will be provided. All materials included in the cost of the course. This course is recommended for those with some prior experience in sculpture-making processes.
