Art Sales + Services is thrilled to present Intimate Geographies, a series of new paintings by Christina Sealey. Please join us for the opening reception on Thursday, October 15th from 5 – 8 PM.

This series explores the intimate geographies of adolescence, a period marked by transformation, self-definition, and shifting relationships to place. Centering around bedrooms, gathering spaces, and personal environments, Sealey considers how young people shape and are shaped by the spaces they inhabit. These sites become extensions of identity: curated landscapes where order, rebellion, vulnerability, and aspiration coexist. As figures emerge within rooms in flux, the works reflect the psychological charge of environments that both shelter and reveal. Through these portraits of becoming, space is understood not as backdrop, but as an active participant in the formation of self.
