As we’ve grown up and become more complex versions of ourselves, so have the monsters that were once hiding under our beds and in our closets. Relentless anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, grief, guilt, insecurities – what if we learned how to live in peace with the monsters instead of frantically trying to escape them?
In this workshop, you will learn and experience expressive arts practices that will help to change the way you relate to the monsters in your life. All skills of art-makers are welcome; no training in art-making is necessary to join. You are welcome to use any type of art-making that you are comfortable with or feeling inspired to use.
$5/ person
This workshop was created to be trauma-informed and the facilitator works from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice lens.
This workshop will be led by Lex D’Angelo, a Queer Hamilton artist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). They are trained in Self-Compassion, Somatics and Expressive Art Therapy.
