Next to the original physical work itself, good documentation is one of the best long-term investments you can make in your art practice. It forms the backbone of your art archive and shapes how your creative journey is perceived for years to come.
Join AGH Collections Registrar, Andrea Howard, for this hands-on workshop. Andrea will walk participants through the process of documenting their individual 2D artworks using accessible D.I.Y. tools and techniques.
The session will cover practical tips on:
Whether you’re preparing for submissions, building your portfolio, or simply tracking your creative legacy, this workshop will help you create professional, lasting documentation of your art.

Andrea Howard is a member of the Collections and Exhibitions team at the Art Gallery of Hamilton and currently works as the Collections Registrar. She helps to care for and foster access to the 11,200+ objects in the Gallery’s permanent collection. Andrea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from Queen’s University, and a Master’s of Information in Archives and Records Management from the University of Toronto.
