Join illustrator Emma Pedersen and textile artist Kristy Woudstra for a special book launch celebrating the recent publication of The Grumpy Faces, authored by Nadia Sammurtok.
The Grumpy Faces are cute, heartwarming characters that help children explore emotions and learn empathy. Each Grumpy Face is hand-sewn right here in Hamilton by Kristy Woudstra, and the book’s illustrator, Emma Pedersen, is also based in Hamilton—bringing a strong local connection to this special event.

About the Author:
Nadia Sammurtok is an Inuit writer and educator originally from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. She is passionate about preserving the traditional Inuit lifestyle and the Inuktitut language for future generations to enjoy.
