Hamilton on Paper: A Conversation with Graham Rockingham and Lou Molinaro

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Sunday, March 29, 2026

Tickets Required

Location: Fisher Gallery, Art Gallery of Hamilton

In advance of the JUNO Awards, join us at the Art Gallery of Hamilton for an engaging conversation exploring Hamilton Music: 2000–2025, an exhibition that traces the city’s vibrant music scene through posters, flyers, photographs, and ephemera.

This discussion brings together longtime music writer Graham Rockingham and promoter Lou Molinaro, alongside special guests, to reflect on the people, places, and paper that shaped Hamilton’s music culture over the past 25 years. Together, they will consider how grassroots music communities are documented, remembered, and celebrated.

Lou Molinaro is a veteran Hamilton, Ontario rock promoter, radio host, and longtime champion of the city’s live-music scene. He has hosted shows for artists including Johnny Winter, Chris Spedding, Teenage Head, The Trews, Joel Plaskett, Arkells, Monster Truck, and The Dirty Nil, among many others. A member of the Hamilton Music Advisory Team, he has also supported numerous local fundraising initiatives in collaboration with musicians to strengthen Hamilton’s cultural community.

Graham Rockingham is a former music editor with The Hamilton Spectator. He has an Ontario Newspaper Award for entertainment writing, and has been media person of the year 5 times at the Hamilton Music Awards. In 2015, he was presented with a special HMA lifetime achievement award.
