Screening Thursday, September 27: The Intouchables
Olivier Nakache, Éric Toledano, 2011, France, French w/English Subtitles, Rated: R
An irreverent, uplifting comedy about friendship, trust and human possibility, The Intouchables has broken box office records in its native France and across Europe. Based on a true story of friendship between a handicap millionaire (Francois Cluzet) and his street smart ex-con caretaker (Omar Sy), The Intouchables depicts an unlikely camaraderie rooted in honesty and humor between two individuals who, on the surface, would seem to have nothing in common
Screening Friday, September 28: Loving Vincent
Dorota Kobiela, Hugh Welchman, 2017, UK, Poland, English, 95 min. 14A | ANIMATION/BIOGRAPHY
The world’s first fully painted feature film brings the paintings of Vincent van Gogh to life. Every one of the 65,000 frames of the film is hand-painted by 115 professional oil-painters who travelled to the Loving Vincent studios to take part in this unique production.
