Have you always wanted to learn the art of calligraphy but not sure where to start? Our five-week Introduction to Modern Pointed Pen Calligraphy is the course for you!
Over the duration of five weeks, we will walk you through the basics including proper pen grip, posture, paper slant, and how to use a dip pen and ink to produce thin wispy hairlines and dramatic thick swells…the hallmark to beautiful pointed pen calligraphy! You will learn the principal strokes used to create letter forms as well as a complete lowercase and uppercase alphabet, plus all the little secrets of the trade! Each week, we will put what you have learned to use with weekly projects such as notebooks, calendars, and more.
This online course consists of both weekly group lessons and individual, one-on-one time.
Kits will be available for pick up at the Art Gallery on Saturday, February 27.
