February: Canadian Artists in Brittany: Many Canadian painters at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries were drawn to the artist colonies in Northern France. There, they were influenced by the Celtic histories and the contemporary cultures of people in the areas, and the art that came from this time combined the impressionist style with their unique experiences. Artists include William Blair Bruce, Maurice Cullen, Robert Pilot, Albert Robinson and Mary Bell Eastlake.
