Remembering AGH Volunteer Camill “Cam” Henry Theroux

The community was saddened by the news that Camill “Cam” Henry Theroux passed away at the age of 77 on December 28, 2025 after a courageous battle at Juravinski Hospital. Cam was a volunteer at the Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH) for 10 years, and he made a difference in so many lives with his compassion, kindness, and love of people.

The AGH’s legacy of providing family-focused programming dates back to 1950, when the Women’s Volunteer Committee was formed. The first “Fun Fair” was held the following year on the lovely grounds of Hillfield School to help attract a new generation of visitors to the Gallery. It was truly a day to remember!
