Free Admission
Location: Art Gallery of Hamilton
Artist Vanessa Crosbie Ramsay will lead family members of all ages through creating artwork inspired by Margaret Watkins’ love of music and her life in Hamilton. Participants can choose to work independently or collaboratively as they use watercolours to ‘paint what they hear’, and will have the opportunity to develop their artwork further using cut & paste to create mixed media collages. Open to all ages, and free sketchbooks will be provided.
Between 1pm and 4pm each Sunday afternoon this summer, the Gallery will offer artist-led activities for families! Each activity will draw inspiration from one of the exhibitions currently on view. We will also have self-guided sketchbook challenges throughout the Gallery, perfect for beginners or first-time visitors to the AGH.
Can’t make it this week? AGH Sketchbook Sundays take place August 7, 14, 21, 28
**Gallery Level 1 admission for adults still applies, however all Sketchbook Sunday programs are free!
