School Programmes

A School Visit to the AGH can be enriching and exciting for students and can also help to make connections to art and critical thinking in a way not possible in the classroom. All AGH Learning programmes are grade-specific and consider a full range of learning outcomes – curriculum relevance, multi-sensory and interdisciplinary approaches to learning, vocabulary and skill development; they encourage critical thinking and a deep appreciation for art and the creative potential present in everyone.

Programmes are available Tuesdays through Fridays in the morning (9:30 - 11:30 am) and in the afternoon (12:30 - 2:30 pm), and include a guided Tour of the Gallery and a Hands-On Studio activity of your choosing.
  • A Tour & Studio programme (2 hours) costs $7.00 per student.
  • A Tour-only programme (1 hour) costs $6.00 per student.
  • Gallery visits can accommodate groups from 20 students to 120 students Programmes are suitable for students in kindergarten through high school.
  • A variety of studio programmes are available.
  • Please plan your visit at least THREE weeks in advance.
