The AGH offers a variety of tours and talks to enrich your experience and give you fascinating insights into the extraordinary exhibitions and works on view from the Gallery’s permanent collection, regarded as one of the finest in Canada.
Want to learn more about an artist? An artwork? The impetus behind an exhibition? Our friendly Docents (specially trained art guides) will tour you through an exhibition, helping you get the most out of your visit. Meet at the Visitor Services Desk; reservations not required. Tours last approximately 40 minutes and are included with ticketed admission. For individuals and groups of ten or fewer.
Docent-led tour are offered to our visitors at 1:00 on Saturdays (focusing on Breaking the Vault and To Play in the Face of Certain Defeat), Sundays (focusing on the AGH Collection and new exhibitions), and on Thursdays at 6:00.
AGH Members Free. Non-Members Free with AGH admission. Pre-registration not required.

Experience art through your sense of sound and touch. Our tactile tours highlight works from the AGH Collection that visitors can touch while hearing vivid descriptions and stories about each object.

Groups of up to 10 people can reserve a table in the Horse and Train Bistro and enjoy à la carte service. Groups of more than 10 should email Event Services to arrange menu options, prix fixe pricing and space rental. Arrangements must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A $50 Cancellation Deposit is required to secure groups of more than 25 people.
