The AGH offers a variety of tours and talks to enrich your experience and give you fascinating insights into the extraordinary exhibitions and works on view from the Gallery’s permanent collection, regarded as one of the finest in Canada.
Enjoy an introduction to the exhibitions and works on view from the AGH permanent collection with a free, guided tour by one of our specially trained Docents. Meet at the Visitor Services Desk. No reservations are necessary. For individuals and groups smaller than 10.
Every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays at 1:00 pm. Note: The AGH is closed December 25, December 26 and January 1.
AGH Members Free. Non-Members Free with AGH admission. Pre-registration not required.
Friday Night Free Tours
On the first Friday of every month, admission to the AGH is free from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. To add to your evening, why not join in a guided tour at 6:00 pm? Friday Free Night tours take on a more casual, conversational approach, and will add some interesting facts and stories to your Gallery experience.

Experience art through the sense of touch with our specially trained Docents. Developed for people with vision loss in mind, but everyone is welcome. Free admission for support persons accompanying visitors with disabilities.

Groups may book Touch Tours from Tuesday to Saturday. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance.
The AGH offers special tours to groups of 10 people or more that include a Docent-led tour. You can also arrange, in advance, a delicious meal from our Horse and Train Bistro, or catering from AGH Event Services.
Adults: $10.00 (per person, including guide and admission)
Seniors (Aged 65+)*: $8.00
AGH Members: $4.00
Note: Docent-led tour rates apply to Gallery Level One and Gallery Level Two. Group rates also apply to OAAG and NARM Membership holders. Groups wanting access to the Gallery before the regular hours of operation MUST have a guide. Allow at least one hour for visits. To arrange a Docent-led tour, Groups must book at least 3 weeks in advance.

Groups of up to 10 people can reserve a table in the Horse and Train Bistro and enjoy à la carte service. Groups of more than 10 should email Event Services to arrange menu options, prix fixe pricing and space rental. Arrangements must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A $50 Cancellation Deposit is required to secure groups of more than 25 people.
