AGH Youth Film Challenge

(Grades 4-12)

The AGH Film Festival’s annual Youth Film Challenge is accepting short films from aspiring filmmakers of all ages. Discover how your students can make their own films with only a phone or tablet!

ONLINE ARTIST LED PROJECTS 

Sylvia Nickerson: In Residence 
(Kindergarten-Grade 8)

In the first of a series of weekly videos, Sylvia will introduce herself and share a short look at her current work, as she prepares to begin her year-long project at the AGH.

This week’s project highlights:  

  • Tableaux Charades: (K-6)– Dramatist Jody Boston will encourage students to design, direct and ‘perform’ several engaging tableaux with their families, props, costumes, and even their stuffies!
  • Going Graphic (3-8)  – Students will compose their own comic strips offering a fun learning opportunity for students to explore the key elements of storytelling and drawing/cartooning.
